Blogger was down, sorry for no updates!

Blogger was down for the past few days, but we haven't been working too hard!

Yesterday was a quiz. The day before I had assigned making a floorplan of a house, and if you had yours, you got to use it on the quiz.

Today, we discussed some more cultural aspects, including hand gestures. We prepared for the final exam by writing exam-like questions based on the culture sections of the textbook.

No homework, but I will post one of the final exam readings in a box on the blog later this weekend.

5/10 - Bingo, talk about houses in Mexico, yearbooks

1. House vocab bingo!!
2. Talk about houses in Mexico, Sra. experiences living with families there.
3. 15 minutes for yearbook signing.

La tarea: None!

5/9 - Palabras nuevas - la casa

1. We went over the list of new vocabulary and added a few words.
2. Q&A using new vocab - How many rooms in your house, do you have a tv in your room, etc.
3. Spanish to Spanish vocab practice - Duermo en ____________ (la cama/el dormitorio).
4. Workbook - vocab practice and coloring p112.

La tarea: make a 5x5 bingo board with new vocab, you write the Spanish.
TEXTBOOKS DUE ON WEDNESDAY!!

5/6 - Sub Day

Lo siento, chicos, no estoy en la escuela hoy. Uds. van a mirar la película "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" en español.

5/5 - Hacer correcciones en los examenes

1. Students did corrections on their Fill in the Blank finals.
2. Students rewrote essays if they scored less than a 19.
3. New vocab list - students started filling in meanings.

La tarea: None!

5/4 - Relaxing day

Today we relaxed after having done rigorous testing the past 2 days. We enjoyed watching the video of the Spanish 4 fairy tale plays. All grading is done and grades are in the grade book.

Tomorrow, we get back to Spanish!!

5/3 - Fill in the blank portion

Today was the final portion of the District Common Exam! Mini unit starting tomorrow.

5/2 - multiple choice test, Fill in the blank tomorrow!

Students did very well. The class average for the whole test was about 85%! Muy bien hecho, chicos.

One more day and we can relax and do more fun things for the rest of the semester (well, they seem fun to me, maybe not so much for you).
